How dictation behaves

Brigid Clinical Intelligence transcribes and formats. You review and sign.

Push-to-talk, in any field

On Professional, dictate into any field in the patient record — the consult note, a letter, a task — without switching apps.

Consult dictation

Record the consultation itself and get a transcript filed to the encounter for you to review.

EU speech route

Dictation audio is processed on the configured EU speech route — see /ai-medical-scribe for the detail.

Formats as you speak

On Professional, Brigid formats what you dictate into paragraphs and punctuation, not a wall of raw text.

You review, you sign

The transcript is what was said. You check it and sign it before anything is filed.

Files to the record

Once signed, the transcript files against the patient's record and the consultation it belongs to.

How consultants start

From voice note to signed record.

  1. Day 1

    Try push-to-talk

Dictate into a note or letter field and see the transcript come back for review — nothing files until you sign.

  2. Week 1

    Record a consult

Record a full consultation and review the transcript against your own house style before it files.

  3. Month 1

    Make it routine

Dictation becomes the way notes reach the record — you still review and sign every one.

Questions consultants ask

The dictation question, answered straight.

What is Ask Brigid’s dictation?
Ask Brigid is practice management software built in Dublin for Irish private consultants, with consult dictation in the patient record on an EU speech route. The consultant asks the patient before anything records. If the patient says no, nothing records. The transcript is the clinician’s to check. On Professional, push-to-talk dictation works in any field, and Brigid Clinical Intelligence prepares the note from what was said, adding nothing that was not said. It stays marked Unreviewed until the consultant reads every word and signs.
Where does the dictation audio go?
Audio is processed on an EU speech route. It is deleted 24 hours after the note is accepted, or 7 days after the consult, whichever comes first.
Can I dictate into any field, or only the consultation note?
On Professional, push-to-talk dictation works in any field in the patient record — a note, a letter, a task — not only the consult transcript. Recording and transcribing the consultation itself is on every plan.
What happens after I sign the transcript?
Once you sign, it files against the patient's record and the consultation it belongs to. Nothing is represented as filed before that server-confirmed step.
How does this compare to DictateIt?
Both are dictation tools for Irish clinicians with different scopes and pricing. See the fact-by-fact comparison on /vs-dictateit before deciding.
