How to choose practice management software in Ireland
Clinical Intelligence is the intelligence that runs the clinic, not the intelligence that practises medicine. It prepares, queues, schedules, routes and reconciles the work of a practice. It does not diagnose, interpret, triage, recommend, or generate clinical content. Clinical Intelligence runs the clinic. Clinicians run the medicine.
The sample practice is the real app on invented data. No sign-up.
Who it’s for
Irish private consultants and specialists, starting with urology. The closest fit has rooms in more than one hospital, a secretary or practice manager, and is on Clanwilliam software (Socrates or HealthOne) or iMedDoc.
There are two buyers. The consultant decides whether to move. The secretary decides whether it works on a Tuesday. It does not replace her. It takes admin off her desk, and she approves what goes out.
Who it isn’t a fit for
GPs, dentists, physios and allied health are not the buyer this page is written for. They have their own pages: GPs, dentists and physios.
It is not a fit yet for a practice that needs insurer claims or Healthmail now. Those are not in the launch release, in the terms below.
What is not in the launch release
- Insurer eligibility checks, claim or pre-authorisation submission (VHI, Laya, Irish Life, Level Health, PCRS/GMS) are not in the launch release.
- A Healthlink or Healthmail connection is not in the launch release.
- SMS or WhatsApp messaging, and automated reminders by text, are not in the launch release.
- Tap to Pay on iPhone, or any in-room card terminal, is not in the launch release.
- Phone answering is not in the launch release.
What is included: the diary across private rooms and hospital sessions, the patient record, invoices and card payments by link, one inbox for the clinic, letters, and dictation. On Professional, Clinical Intelligence files attachments to the right patient, queues tasks, and schedules appointments for the team to approve. Nothing is booked, sent or filed until you or your team press the button.
Ask Brigid, Enquiry Medical, Socrates, iMedDoc and CloudMedico
Competitor cells use notes taken on 4 November 2026 from each vendor’s own site, where those notes exist. Where a fact is not stated there, the cell says Not published. That means we are not asserting it, not that the vendor has nothing. Check the vendor’s own site.

Socrates also sells a clinic management system covering patient, clinical and financial records, the diary, correspondence, theatre bookings, reminders and texts, and hospital IT integration, with Billink pay-by-text. iMedDoc sells web-based practice management: patients, letters, scans, dictation, video consultation, a diary with recalls, billing and online payments, Healthcode and Xero, reports, a patient portal and a mobile app. iMedDoc says it is built on 25 years of experience and trusted by clinical teams across the UK and Ireland.
Enquiry Medical and CloudMedico have no price, host, claims or Healthmail fact in the notes used here, so those cells stay Not published.
The move, then a clean switch
We map records out of HealthOne, Socrates or iMedDoc, or from a spreadsheet and paper charts. The move is set up with the secretary and checked before go-live, then it is a clean switch. If anything is missing when you check it, we fix it before go-live, or you don’t go live and you don’t pay. DGL migration is not supported. Your data leaves free: a full export, in a usable format, within five working days, whenever you ask.
Price
Essential is €129/month. Professional is €299/month. Prices are per practice, before VAT, and every seat is included. A third plan is coming soon. No practice uses Ask Brigid yet. We’re getting ready to launch with our first founding clinics, with a full launch planned for March 2027.

DGL migration is not supported. No practice uses Ask Brigid yet. We are getting ready to launch with our first founding clinics, with a full launch planned for March 2027.
What is Clinical Intelligence?
The intelligence that runs your clinic: it prepares invoices, builds recall lists, turns dictation into text, and keeps the diary straight across your rooms and hospital sessions. It is built on AI systems, and we name which ones and where they run on our compliance page. It does not practise medicine.
