Its own site lists 14 products — Socrates, HealthOne, iMedDoc, DGL Practice Manager, DictateIT and more — for GPs, consultants, hospitals and care homes, each sold as a product in its own right. Ask Brigid takes the opposite starting point: the diary, the record, invoicing and dictation are one product, for one consultant, from day one.
Which sub-brand would you actually be buying?
A private consultant comparing Ask Brigid against “Clanwilliam” is usually really comparing against iMedDoc, DGL Practice Manager or Socrates Consultant, all built for consultant clinics. Dictation in the record, on every plan
Consult dictation returns a transcript inside the patient record for the clinician to review, and push-to-talk dictation works in any field — both on every Ask Brigid plan. Within the group, iMedDoc offers dictation, Socrates AI Scribe drafts consultation notes and DictateIT's ambient listening generates notes and letters. Generated notes and letters are not in the Ask Brigid launch release: the clinician writes them.

Who should stay with Clanwilliam / Lanas
A consultant already settled in iMedDoc, DGL Practice Manager or Socrates Consultant, and not looking to change, has a real switching cost to weigh, not just a preference. So does a practice that wants notes drafted by AI today, which Socrates AI Scribe and DictateIT's ambient listening offer and Ask Brigid does not at launch, or one waiting on iMedDoc's MedoSync claims integration, which iMedDoc says will be available from autumn 2026. The same goes for anyone relying on hospital-wide infrastructure like ClaimSure that no single-consultant product, Ask Brigid included, is built to replace.
