Why Irish private practices are choosing Brigid over Semble
Semble is a powerful, modern practice management system. But Irish private clinics face challenges of their own — HSE coordination, Irish Medical Council documentation standards, EUR-first billing — and an admin load that a scheduling-and-billing tool alone doesn't reduce.
Launch-scope difference
Semble provides excellent scheduling and billing, but it remains a manual tool. Brigid supports staff-authored clinical notes, clinic-approved referral templates and staff-controlled follow-ups. Generative clinical and outreach drafting is disabled, and no documentation-time reduction is claimed without measured evidence.
Irish workflows, natively
Staff can prepare and review EUR invoices with configured codes. Stripe requires approved provider and clinic configuration. Direct PCRS/GMS eligibility, filing and submission are disabled; the clinic uses its approved claim channel.
Clinic-approved migration
The biggest hurdle to switching software is data migration. Bring your data across yourself with our built-in import tool — demographics, consults, and documents — at your own pace, with nothing patient-visible pausing. You're live the same day, and we're on hand if you get stuck.

Switching from Semble — common questions
- How is Brigid different from Semble?
- Semble is a capable, mature multi-market platform. Brigid is an Irish early-access alternative combining scheduling, records, billing and raw EU dictation. Clinicians author notes/referrals and staff control follow-ups; Generative clinical/outreach drafting is disabled.
- How long does it take to move my patient data across from Semble?
- Import scope and mappings are agreed with the clinic. Representative demographics, consultations, documents, permissions and rollback are tested before the clinic signs the production cutover.
- What does Brigid cost compared to Semble?
- Brigid starts at €129 a month, priced in euro, month to month. Raw EU speech-to-text dictation is included; a Generative AI clinical scribe is not enabled for launch.
- Is patient data safe with Brigid, and where is it hosted?
- Primary records are hosted in AWS Dublin (eu-west-1). Hosting and technical controls support but do not certify GDPR compliance. Clinical and patient-facing Generative AI is disabled, and production cloud evidence remains a launch gate.
- Does Brigid handle PCRS and GMS billing?
- Staff can prepare and review EUR invoices with configured codes. Automated PCRS/GMS eligibility, filing and submission are disabled; the clinic continues using its approved claim channel.
