Version: 2026-09-29_v10 Effective: 29 September 2026 Provider: DJG Media Limited (trading as Brigid), CRO No. 762838, Coliemore House, Coliemore Road, Dalkey, Dublin, Ireland Governing law: Ireland
Launch status: MyBrigid is available. Version v4 of these terms described the product as disabled and prospective; it was released on 16 September 2026 and v4 therefore described an app that people were already using. These terms are operative and govern your use of MyBrigid, subject to the version shown at activation and the Privacy Policy.
The AI features that are switched on, the ones that are switched off, and your Clinical intelligence choice are explained in section 9.
MyBrigid is provided by DJG Media Limited (trading as Brigid), CRO No. 762838, registered office Coliemore House, Coliemore Road, Dalkey, Dublin, Ireland. References to 'we' or 'us' mean DJG Media Limited; references to 'MyBrigid' mean the patient product, previously called Brigid Patient, not a separate legal entity. Brigid is also the name of the staff and clinic product and of the AI assistant embedded in these services (including voice dictation).
1. MyBrigid is not emergency care
MyBrigid is software for patient access, clinic communication, appointment support, record viewing, forms, reminders, and related healthcare administration. It does not provide emergency services. If you believe you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
2. Healthcare services disclaimer
MyBrigid does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or clinical triage. Healthcare decisions are made by you and qualified healthcare professionals. Messages, summaries, results, generated information, and reminders in MyBrigid are informational unless your clinician expressly tells you otherwise.
3. Your account and identity
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and only use MyBrigid for yourself or for a family member or dependent you are authorised to support. Tell your clinic or MyBrigid support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You must be at least 18 to hold your own MyBrigid account. Information about a child may only be accessed by a parent or guardian with legal responsibility for that child. A parent or guardian with parental responsibility can link a child under 16 to their own account once the child's clinic confirms the relationship (Me → Family members → Add a family member → Add a child under 16). The guardian sees the child's clinic-shared record read-only. The link ends automatically on the child's 16th birthday, after which the child's clinic handles access to their record directly.
4. Clinic linking and records
MyBrigid may let you connect with clinics, family members, appointments, messages, documents, lab results, prescriptions, invoices, and other health-related information. Access depends on the clinic, your relationship to the patient, verification, consent, and applicable law. Some records may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, restricted, or unavailable.
5. Privacy and health data
DJG Media Limited processes personal data and health information to provide MyBrigid, connect you with clinics, sync records, deliver notifications, support security, and improve reliability. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy, including the section on the app (section 14). Creating an account acknowledges those disclosures; it is not treated as consent where GDPR requires a separate, freely given choice. Optional processing that relies on consent is presented through separate controls.
The controls, and what they do. When you first sign in — and again if something changes — you are asked about Clinical intelligence (whether Brigid may apply AI to your information, including recording and writing up a consultation once your clinic switches that on), Share your records (whether other clinicians treating you may see your record), and Updates (non-clinical product news). All three are off unless you turn them on, each can be turned off at any time, and turning any of them off does not affect the care you receive. Where you have not given a permission, or have withdrawn it, we decline the processing it covers. For your MyBrigid account and information you record yourself, DJG Media Limited is the data controller. For records a clinic shares with you through the app, the clinic remains the controller and DJG Media Limited processes them on the clinic's behalf.
6. Communications and notifications
You may receive in-app messages, email and push notifications from MyBrigid, and SMS or other messages that your clinic chooses to send you, related to your account, clinic activity, appointments, results, billing, family links, and security. You can manage non-essential notifications in settings, but some service or safety messages may still be sent.
7. Payments and billing
If billing features are available, payment amounts, refunds, insurance handling, and financial responsibility are controlled by your clinic or payment provider unless MyBrigid clearly states otherwise. DJG Media Limited is not responsible for clinical charges or insurance decisions made by third parties.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse MyBrigid, attempt to access another person's information without authorisation, interfere with security, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, or use MyBrigid in a way that could disrupt clinics, patients, or the service.
9. Automation
Medical advice, diagnosis, triage, automatic booking and autonomous communications are not authorised by these terms and are disabled. AI that diagnoses, triages, ranks urgency, scores risk or recommends treatment is switched off for this release, and no permission you give can switch it on.
Where you have turned on Clinical intelligence, AI is applied to your information only through your clinic's staff, in the ways listed in section 6 of the Privacy Policy, such as a factual summary of your chart before a consultation and drafting a clinical note or a letter. The MyBrigid app does not currently offer you an AI chat, a symptom checker or an AI-written reply. Where your clinic uses it, your clinician can record a consultation. The audio is turned into text by Google Cloud Speech-to-Text on an EU endpoint, and the clinic's recording notice and permission procedure apply. Brigid drafts the note from the transcript, using Google's Gemini model on Google Cloud Vertex AI inside the EU, for your clinician to read, edit and sign. The original consultation audio is deleted within 24 hours after the clinician accepts the transcript or note, and in any case no later than seven days after it was recorded, unless the clinic has given a written instruction to keep it or a documented legal hold applies. Anything produced this way is a draft that your clinician reviews, and it does not replace their professional judgement.
Any further feature requires a new purpose, provider-terms, clinical-safety, privacy and production review before it is described as available.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
DJG Media Limited may update the app and these Terms, suspend access for safety, security, legal, or misuse reasons, and stop providing features where required. If material terms change, we will provide notice where appropriate. You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app (Me → Login & security → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your MyBrigid account, information you recorded yourself, your uploads, family links and device registrations. Medical records held by a treating clinic remain with that clinic under its own record-retention duties; deleting your account does not erase the clinic's copy.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms, privacy, access, or your account should be sent through support@askbrigid.com (privacy questions: privacy@askbrigid.com) or your connected clinic. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
